Upslope Privacy Policy

Upslope itself does not collect, store, or share your personal data. We don't run servers, and there are no accounts or analytics. If you don't have Upslope Premium, the app shows ads from Google, which collects some data as described below.

What stays on your device

  • Your wake-ups, settings and imported sounds are saved only in the app's own storage on your iPhone. They're removed when you delete the app.
  • Alarms are scheduled with Apple's AlarmKit, which asks for your permission first. iOS handles the alarm data on your device.
  • Bedtime reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device. They're only sent if you turn them on and allow notifications.
  • Widgets read your upcoming wake-ups from storage shared only between Upslope and its own widgets on your device.
  • Siri and Shortcuts actions run on your device inside Upslope. Apple's handling of Siri requests is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
  • Imported sounds: when you import an audio file, the app reads only the file you pick in the Files picker, and saves a trimmed copy on your device.
  • Wake-up missions run entirely on your device. Nothing you type or tap is sent anywhere.

Ads (without Premium)

Upslope shows a banner ad from Google AdMob unless you've bought Premium. To show and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect:

  • device and connection information, such as your IP address, device model and OS version
  • ad interactions, such as ads shown and tapped
  • your device's advertising identifier, only if you allow tracking when iOS asks

Where the law requires it (for example in the EU and UK), the app asks for your consent before any ads load. You can change your choice at any time under Settings → System → Privacy Choices in Upslope. You can also turn off tracking for all apps under iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Buying Premium removes ads completely.

Google's use of this data is covered by Google's Privacy Policy and “How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services”.

Purchases

Upslope Premium is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment. We never see your payment details and only learn whether Premium is owned on your device.

Children

Upslope isn't directed at children under 13, and doesn't knowingly collect data from them.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new date.
